Sadly…

Posted on February 28th, 2006 in Need to know, Whatever by Aardvark

I haven’t gotten tons better. The full story is here. Basically I am allowed to go to work and that is about it. The worst part is that I have had to dropout of The Vagina Monologues. I know it is the right thing to do…it is better for my health and more importantly for Scout. It doesn’t make it any easier…and I am rather upset about it. I hate quitting anything and especially this late in the game. The more I think about it…the more upset I get. So that is all I have to say about it.

Happy Pancake Day!

Posted on February 28th, 2006 in Need to know, Whatever by Aardvark

I love PANCAKES!!!!!!!! Sadly, I am stuck at school all day!

FREE PANCAKES! NO STRINGS ATTACHED!

On February 28, 2006 from 7 AM to 2 PM IHOPs across the country will celebrate National Pancake Day (also known as Shrove Tuesday) by offering our guests a free short stack of pancakes*. This is going to be our biggest one day celebration in our history.

National Pancake Day has a rich history that stretches back centuries and has always been a time of celebration. National Pancake Day always falls on Fat Tuesday and this year it will be a celebration at IHOP.

So gather your friends, family and neighbors and come to your local IHOP and enjoy a short stack of pancakes on us. All we ask is that you consider making a donation to a great charity like First Book or other local, worthy cause. Where else would you celebrate National Pancake Day than IHOP? See you there.

* Limit one free short stack per guest. Valid for dine-in only, no to go orders. Not valid with any other offer, special, coupon, or discount. Valid at participating restaurants only, while supplies last.

Sick: Day 1,000,001

Posted on February 21st, 2006 in Steve, That makes me happy by Aardvark

Yes I am still sick. I posted the details of my sickness on the baby site. I know you are sick of hearing about it…but since I haven’t left my house since Thursday except to go to the doctor…I don’t have much else to talk about.
Last night Steve bought me a prize. He came home with a fantastic cozy recliner. I decided a while back that I was not a glider rocker kind of pregnant woman and I would rather have a nice recliner. We shopped around and I found a couple that I liked. Soooo last night Steve surprised me with my favorite one! I have spent the better part of the day and night here. It is a great chair and it looks good with the furniture.
Another happy thing happened today. Alison started painting the nursery. I am very excited about the nursery. I can’t wait to get it all put together.
Now I am tired and must rest.

Steve and I met one year ago today. Being the over-achievers that we are…we have accomplished a lot in that year. The next year will be even more exciting than the last and I can’t wait!

Posted on February 14th, 2006 in Need to know, Steve, That makes me happy by Aardvark

This morning Steve gave me a beautiful necklace.
Happy VD!
So not only does he know to put the Thin Mints in the freezer… he knows how to buy jewelry.
BUT…the best present we got was seeing Scout. She is beautiful. You can see her here.
I hope everyone has as great a day!
