…except for the cricket

You would have thought with all the wind and hail we had Friday night…that damn cricket would have been blown away or pounded into silence…but no he is still out there and louder than ever.
There is good news in my bed these days…I am finally able to sleep on my stomach again! I know this may not sound exciting to you but to me it is glorious! Around Christmas I had to give up sleeping on my stomach…because it was big. Then after the baby came…I had been sliced open. So now I am sleeping happily (except for the cricket.)

for everything else….

Mac-tastic

I am officially joining the world of Macs. Steve and I have switched laptops. There are things he wanted/needed to be able to do on the laptop and yet he was somewhat limited on the Mac. I do very little of importance (well I do blog and for you my loyal reader…that is vastly important) on the computer…so I can use whatever. I am excited. I have not used a Mac on a regular basis in years…so I am sure there will be a learning curve. I fully plan on becoming one of those “Mac people.” Now all I need is an Apple sticker for my car!

Poor Connie…and a cricket

So apparently Maury is the new Jerry Springer. I remember watching Maury years ago and he was much more Oprah. Today he was proving paternity. These people have issues. One guy claimed that he could not possibly be the father because he slept with the mother when he was 15 and 15 year olds don’t have active sperm. Interesting. This is new information to me.
Do you think that Connie Chung looks in the mirror some mornings and thinks to herself…”What has my husband become?”

We have the loudest cricket in the free world in our backyard. It is other worldly loud. It is loud enough that I didn’t even realize it was a cricket. After hearing it for several nights…I said to Steve
“What is that noise?”
“It is a cricket”
“That loud?”
“How long have you lived in Alabama”
“Forever…but that is really loud…are you sure it is a cricket?”
“Yes”

It really is loud and it sounds like the world’s largest rusty hamster wheel.
