Dear Santa,

I have been very good. OK…that may be stretching it a bit BUT I have only been a little bit naughty.
This is what I would like for Christmas.

A Tangerine Orange KitchenAid Mixer ( Yes Steve…I know we don’t have room for one…but I can dream)
A tilting turntable for cake decorating
A bath in a big bathtub
A vacation
A clean house
Chuck Taylors: Aardvark Edition
A new purse
Something shiny
Something that smells good
A luncheon with the girls
A date with my honey
A good book

I will make sure there are cookies and milk waiting for you. I will make them (not buy them).

How is it that I sent out nearly 40 Christmas cards…and I have received 7?

This is not the Christmas spirit at its best! I guess next year my list will significantly shorter! Humph!
However, In an attempt to extend the jolly holidays to everyone, if I have not sent you a card and you would like one…let me know.

My friend Nina’s little girl had her first birthday last week. I was in charge of the cake. I think it turned out pretty well!

I have a million things to do today and yet here i am…blogging.
I have crafty surprises to finish for the 2nd Annual Coven Christmas Dinner: A Very Coven Christmas.
I have a Minnie Mouse cake to decorate for a birthday party tomorrow.
I have cupcakes to make for the same party.
I need to make candy suckers.

Not to mention the regular stuff I avoid doing…cleaning, cleaning and cleaning.

I am so excited about dinner tonight! We have old friends and new friends…stalkers and stalkees! There will be food and wine and surprises! Woo Hoo!

Scout went to the doctor today for her 9 month check up. She is in the 50th %tile for height, weight and head circumference. She had a flu shot booster and a toe stick for blood. She is doing great! I mentioned to the Dr. that she had 8 teeth and he looked at me kind of funny and said “really?” The he looked in her mouth and with a bit of surprise in his voice said…”that is impressive.”
Impressive my ass…he isn’t trying to nurse the monster! Some of you may remember that about 6 months Scout went through a biting stage. (She got her first tooth at 5 months) It took a couple of weeks…but I finally got her to stop. Well yesterday she thought she would revisit those days. With all the teeth she is sporting….lets just say that the shirt I had on looked like it was stolen from the wardrobe department of the movie Carrie. NOT PLEASANT! She didn’t try it today…so hopefully it won’t be something she embraces.

In other news…I have been working on a super secret crafty surprise for The Coven Christmas Dinner tomorrow night! I promise it will not suck!

We are still festering over here. Scout and I have run fevers off and on all day. Mom came over for a while today to help me out. I still feel all woozy and light headed when I get up and move around. I pretty much did nothing all day. Scout ate some yogurt and applesauce today…so that is a good sign. Her fever hasn’t gotten back up to the 103s…but it is still hanging around. I am pretty miserable…but Steve came home early to help me with the little monster. Then he took charge of dinner (Steak-Out) and it was good. Now I am going to go find a warm place to curl up and fester.
