I didn’t get home from Mockingbird auditions until 10:30 last night. I am still tired. We had a lot of hard descisions to make and casting the show was NOT easy. We still have not cast EVERY role. I am excited about some of our choices and can’t wait to start rehearsals. Welllll…I can wait a little. Scout’s birthday extravaganza is this weekend. Book Club is tonight. I have enough to do the rest of the week… so rehearsals not starting until the 13th is just right. So last night while I was crushing the dreams of children … Steve and Scout were making a movie. You have to watch all the way to the end. She is so freaking cute! (if I do say so myself…and I do.)

I just got off the treadmill. It was hard to convince myself that just because I fell down the stairs yesterday…I still had to work out. People who fall down flights of stairs should get a pass …right? I chose not to give myself a pass. I did it anyway. I did it because I know that later Steph will ask me if I did it, or Steve will, or someone…and I knew it was lame to say no.

my body hurts…

Yesterday i felt a little sore…and my arm hurt. Today I feel like I was hit by a truck. Sadly it is not because I have been the workout master. No…it is because I am low tone. Yesterday, I was going to the garage to do some laundry (first mistake…i should leave the laundry to Steve). There are stairs going from the house to the garage…not many but they are steep. They also have nothing to provide any traction…they do have glow tape on each one. I guess so you can see them when you are cracking your skull open. I had on furry blue house shoes and on about step two…my feet went out from under me. Luckily there are handrails on both sides (thanks Dad)…so I managed to catch myself before I cracked my skull open. I caught myself with my left arm (which is extra hurty) and even though it was pretty painful at the time…I moved on. Last night I noticed that my neck and shoulder were a little stiff…but I didn’t think much of it. Today my whole left side (from about my ear to my hip) is FREAKING sore! It feels all hurty and pulled. BLAH!

Let’s talk about my breasts for a minute.
Before I had Scout I was a 38C. I was a nice full C cup. Life was good. It looked nice on my body…it didn’t make my back hurt. At the height of nursing Scout my breasts were between an F and G. They eventually settled into a DD. That is were we are now. Fine whatever…I would prefer the full C. I don’t have any control over it at this point. More importantly I have started running a bit…and the sports bras I have are NOT cutting it. I have tried wearing 2 at a time and it doesn’t really help. So where do I go to get a good sports bra? I want to be able to try it on and jump around the dressing room. Who will let me do that?

5K (or I have lost my F***ing mind)

For Lent I am giving up being fat. Sloth. That is what I am giving up. I am also taking on a change in lifestyle. I am dedicating myself to being healthier and more physically fit. I found a program online that claims it can take me from couch potato to 5K in 2 months. So that is the plan. I don’t know if two months is long enough…it doesn’t seem very long. Steve wants to start training too. We are going to sign up to run a 5K together in May. Normally I try not to announce things I am thinking about doing….that way if I don’t…no one knows. So if you see me…asks me how it is going. I need my friends to help hold me accountable. I will let you know how it is going!
