a great night and today’s TMI

Last night The Coven et al had a dinner outing to celebrate Miss Penelope’s impending arrival. Since she is my second baby and so close to the last one…I was very insistent that it just wasn’t proper to have a shower this time. Jamie pointed out that Penelope deserved a celebration and who I am to turn down dinner out with my favorite girls! I asked for no gifts but the ladies came bearing their favorite children’s books for Penelope’s library. Jamie even managed to find this fabulous book!!! (I have discovered that there are several of them in the series….we will be acquiring them)
Dinner was fabulous and so was the company. I really needed to be surrounded by a group of strong amazing women last night and that is just what I got. We laughed A LOT (Shooters). We shocked our waiter (eating babies). Caroline even did impressions! I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!
Now for today’s TMI – My breasts are leaking.

I can’t articulate how much fun that dinner was. I think we all needed the break! I kept trying to remember little snippets of conversation as we went so I could blog about them later.. but there were too many jewels to keep up!

So glad you got to have a night out with the girls!
I also had #2 pretty soon after #1 and wasn’t sure if a shower was appropriate. My family threw us a “Mom & Pop” shower and got us lots of parent gifts – gift cards for date nights, pedicure certificates, even some meals from that place that you prep & freeze. It was great.
That looks like a great book, and how perfect for your new girl!
