Book club and babies

So tonight book club was at my house. When I planned that… Steve was going to be home. He wasn’t. That means I was hosting book and mothering at the same time. And just in case that wasn’t enough… Penelope decided to be awful. She is teething and I know that sucks for her but I an starting to think she isn’t the only one suffering! She wouldn’t let anyone else hold her for even a few minutes to give me a break. She pretty much fussed and cried and acted miserable the entire night. It made it very hard for me to enjoy myself.
Scout was actually very good. She did lick a frito and put it back in the bowl but she was totally busted. She peed in the potty for Auntie T and brushed her teeth for Steph… So really I can’t complain.
Tomorrow I will try and remember some of the funny shut people said but right now I am exhausted from dealing with my noncompliant child and I am going to crash!
