clean sheets

I love having clean sheets on my bed. There is nothing better than crawling into a nice cozy warm bed on a chilly night and being surrounded by clean sheets….um and my sweet husband.
Apparently Scout felt the need for clean sheets on her bed or maybe it was The Powers That Be…but someone or something wanted clean sheets on Scout’s bed today. That is the only reason I can think of that would explain the bed full of shit that greeted me this morning. As soon as Scout appeared from her room I smelled her and knew that she needed to be changed. I rounded her up to clean her booty. When I finished with her I went to her room to turn off her sound machine and that is when I smelled IT. OH YOU KNOW…the overwhelming smell of human feces. Nice. A quick glance at the bed reveals what I already knew…SHIT! All over the bed. See…Scout’s bed is up high so she has steps that she has to climb down to actually get out of bed. To do this she first scoots across the bed to the steps. (I bet you just got a visual.) Soooo there was shit from one side of the bed to the other and down the side next to the steps. Hooray! So I spent the morning stripping the bed, washing and drying the sheets and remaking the bed…BEFORE naptime.
Now she is down for a nap and sound asleep snuggled in with her clean sheets.

I can only imagine the days I will have ahead of me to undertake this same situation!!! It’s only a matter of time!!! I just know it! HOwever LF is still in her crib so maybe not for a little while yet
