I know I promised…

Let’s see if I can come up with something worth reading. The chances are slim. It has been a long day and it got much longer about 4pm when Steve came home to pack and leave town. BLAH! I knew he was going to be gone a couple of days this week…but having it moved up with little notice makes it seem worse.
So what was it I was going to talk about…
Saturday
Saturday Steve worked all day. He took a break to eat lunch with us and then back to work. We had an invitaion from the glorious BookMamma to come hang out with her and her wild boys for some football and grub. Steve wasn’t able to go because he was still working (I will be glad when this particular project is done) but the girls and I are always up for a playdate especially when there is fantastic bbq involved! So we loaded up and headed to the Hacienda. Scout had such a good time eating dino bites and play with the wild boys! She was so excited to find Buzz and Woody hanging at the Hacienda! She also enjoyed riding on some kind of bouncing pony of death…but we declined to bring it home. Miss P was on her best behavior and even found some time to sit with Finn. (I know there is a way cute picture of this hook up…but I don’t have it!)
Let me just say that while it is obvious that Scout and the wild boys are totally meant to be friends… BookMamma and I are right up there. She won me over when she had too much food. I always have too much food. I can’s stand going somewhere and there not being enough food. I would rather have leftovers than hungry guests. AND it wasn’t hot in her house. (I frequently find myself in people’s homes that are ummm warmer than I like.) These two things would be enough for me seal the deal on a lifelong friendship but the snark and wit that she brings to the table…icing on the cake! I also got to meet Mr. BookMamma. He was great! BookMamma is a lucky lady.
The girls and I hung out past bedtime and when we started turning into pumpkins…we decided to pack it in and head home. We had a great time…and hopefully the cookie sneaking won’t keep us from being invited back. 
I will have to fill you in on Sunday’s adventure’s later…I am tired and must sleep.

My Steve left town today…I hate solo parenting 2! It was kind of fun when it was just Sabrina and I.
