“I need…” and her friend “I want”
By Aardvark | November 30, 2008
Scout’s latest favorite phrase is “I need…” She “needs” tissue, she “needs” chicken nuggets, she “needs” a cookie, she “needs” to climb on the back of the couch, she “needs” to watch Princess Nay-Roar-Ra (or ET or some crappy cartoon).
I think you should know that every single time she says that she says she “needs” something I think “I NEED a drink.”
Then there is the almost as frequently used “I want…” She “wants” to throw the ball in the house, she “wants” to pull the dog’s tail, she “wants” to take her sister’s toy, she “wants” to drive me crazy.
I think you should also know that it take everything I have to not respond with “People in Hell “want” ice water.”

My son’s thing is he wants “plenty” of something, like can I have “plenty of candy” and if you try and just give him one he is not happy.
I stole your idea and started posting pictures of my advent calender prizes and will move on to pictures of my ornaments…Thanks!
