more about potty training
By Aardvark | January 23, 2009
So Scout is doing great with the using the potty…with one exception. She won’t poop. She is being so stubborn and weird about pooping in the potty. She will wait until we put her in a pull up (for nap or bed) and THEN she will poop.
So what do we do?

Mike had the same issue. All I can tell you is he eventually just started pooping in the potty. But he was 100% on peeing long before he conquered the poo.

Matthew us currently having the same issues, but has become constipated because he knows pooping in his pants is a no no. Anyway, we give him half a cap of Myrilex everyday. This softens everything up and makes it to where “holding it” isn’t a choice. Potty training is tough business… Good luck

Some kids are scared to see their poo, they sometimes think their insides are coming out.
I have a friend whose pediatrician told her to make a big deal out of pooping in the potty, and to let her kid say goodbye to it and realize that it was natural.
To this day my husband and I typically tell each other once a day “Bye bye ca ca, I love you!”

I’m sorry.
I just read Gena’s comment, and by God, that woman should write a book on marriage health.

*I* should write a book on marriage health? That’s frightening.
