Why do these people insist on talking to me…
By Aardvark | September 9, 2007
The other night at Barnes and Nobel…I was once again subjected to conversation with an idiot. It went like this:
Me: Scout…come here please.
AI: Scout? The “real” Scout’s name was Tina Louise…is her name Tina Louise?
Me: (inner voice) You idiot…the “real” Scout’s name was Jean Louise…Tina Louise was Ginger on Gilligan’s Island. Idiot. Why must you talk to me about shit you apparently know nothing about? Where do you people come from and how do you find me?
Me: (out loud) No her real name is Scout.
AI: I love that book…Tina Louise…blah blah blah
I just quit listening and she walked away. I would just like to add that if she loves that book…she might need to re-read it …just so she realizes that it has nothing to do with a “three hour tour.” Ummm and …Scout (my Scout) is the real Scout. Hello.
